10,00 € - 27,00 €
The 1919 American silent drama, directed by Maurice Tourneur, including a remarkable and dramatic underwater fight scene. Once thought to be a lost film, a tinted and toned nitrate print was found in 2023 at the Eye Filmmuseum and subsequently restored by the San Francisco Film Preserve.

The storyline centers on Lord Angus Cameron (Holmes Herbert), whose clandestine marriage to a woman of lower social standing (Mabel Ballin) jeopardizes his reputation, inspired by the 1897 play from Drury Lane.

Live piano accommpaniment by Agustina Taborda.
