14th March, Saturday, 20:00 / Tickets:
10,00 € - 27,00 €
On March 14th, we invite you to see The Good Bad Man from 1916, an extraordinary western directed by Alan Dwan, starring Douglas Fairbanks and Bessie Love.
Passin' Through (that`s the nickname of the main character) has a conflict with the local outlaws. Soon after, he falls in love with the daughter of one of the outlaws and decides to kill the man who has kidnapped her and is after his mother. Looking at this picture, how it was filmed, and how the script was conducted, it`s hard to believe that this movie was made 110 years ago!
It`s also worth mentioning the beautiful restoration by the San Francisco Film Preserve. Thanks to their work, The Good Bad Man looks like it was shot yesterday.
Live musical accompaniment in a truly western style by Cesar Benzoni.
