Presenting Padlocked (USA, 1926), directed by Allan Dwan. Made exactly 100 years ago, this film was considered lost for nearly a century. A surviving print is held by the Národní Filmový Archiv in the Czech Republic. In 2023, this sole extant print was restored by the San Francisco Film Preserve and screened at the San Francisco Silent Film Festival for the first time since 1926. Thanks to our collaboration with the San Francisco Film Preserve, this year's edition of our festival in Galway City will host the Irish premiere of this cinematic gem! The film has a runtime of 80 minutes and will be presented with live piano accompaniment by Mia Fitzgerald.
