    Charlie Chaplin @ Silent Cinema

    2nd of December, Saturday | 8:00 PM | Doors 7:30

The undisputed icon of silent cinema, a brilliant actor, director, and music composer, Charlie Chaplin, will be a star of the evening on December 2 at Silent Cinema. You will watch two hilarious films directed and starring him - The Idle Class (1921) and Pay Day (1922).

Just like in cinemas a century ago, the film screenings will be accompanied live on a piano. Only this time by a much, much younger musician Mila Maia.

Chaplin biographer Jeffrey Vance describes The Idle Class as one of Chaplin’s funniest short comedies.

Pay Day is Chaplin's final two-reel short film, described by J. Vance as a delightful, polished work created in just a month thanks to Charlie`s co-op with Monta Bell, a future director and producer, who was engaged as Chaplin's general assistant.

All of the above, plus a glass of the wine of your choice (including mulled wine) will be an unforgettable moment in this Christmas season for you, your friends, and loved ones.

    Christmas at the cinema

    16th of December, Saturday | 7:00 PM | Doors 6:30

This event will take you on a Christmas journey back in time. You will see the first Christmas-themed movie scenes in history, including a one-minute-long, 1898 Santa Claus. The first film adaptation of A Christmas Carol. There will be The Little Match Girl (1902) and one of the oldest animations - 1913 The Insects` Christmas. Finally, Laurel & Hardy will make you laugh and cringe as they try their hand at selling Christmas trees.

The screening of these wonderful films will be accompanied by unique live music - Mila Maia will play both the piano and the flute. Of course, not at the same time, after all, we are not a circus.

Your participation in this event will be even more enjoyable if you try our wine, including white, red, and mulled wine.

Be sure to book a table now for yourself, friends, and family, as the tickets are limited. You can also book a table for someone as a gift.
