Mila Maia is a Brazilian pianist, flautist, music tutor, and composer based in Galway City. Exploring instrumental music from different cultures is one of her biggest sources of inspiration and research. Mila has performed around Europe and Brazil with orchestras, ensembles, and multi-genre projects such as Flamenco, Traditional Irish music, and Brazilian popular music.
On March 25, Silent Cinema will screen the 1926 film The General, directed and starring Buster Keaton, accompanied by live piano music performed by Mila Maia. Tickets are on sale now!
